Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled

We’re very sorry to let you know that the New Dawn weekend event, scheduled for 31st October to 2nd November, has been cancelled.

After careful consideration, we have concluded that the church’s inadequate heating system, combined with the expected colder weather at that time of year, would create an uncomfortable environment for pilgrims—especially given the long hours many would be spending in the church, including late into the evenings.

Additionally, the church does not have a narthex to provide insulation while the doors are open. From our experience at the August event, where many pilgrims were frequently entering and exiting throughout the day, we know this has a significant impact on temperature inside the church. In fact, even in August, several pilgrims commented that the church felt cold at times.

We want everyone to be able to participate in this event in a setting that is welcoming, safe, and conducive to prayer and reflection. Unfortunately, under the current circumstances, we don’t believe that will be possible.

We are actively working with the church to resolve the heating issue, with the hope of confirming a new date once improvements are in place. However, due to potential costs, the event may now be re-scheduled to spring/summer 2026.
